Ian Beattie : I took the camera out of the box placed it on the TV plugged in the USB to the TV and it worked right away.
Having skype on the TV allows us to see our grandchildren while sitting in the living room rather than crowding round our laptop computer.
The camera is smaller and less obtrusive than it appears in the Ads
john : Great little device. We really enjoy it. Only negatives are that it shows mirror image so when we held up a sign for our grandchild to read, it was as if they were looking at it in a mirror. Also, they need more info on how to change the different screens back and forth. You can make either the folks you are speaking with larger or you can make what they are seeing larger but it sure isn't intuitive on how to change it back once you do. Still, great picture and great audio so definitely worth it. Makes Skyping a lot more fun! Really should be a 4.5 instead of a 4!
J. P. Dowd (San Francisco, CA) : The camera failed after three days and that's when the (continuing) customer no-service marathon began --- you know the one... where the company makes it so impossibly difficult and time consuming to file a warranty claim that you eventually start yelling at your children and throwing electronics against the wall. [Note to Samsung support: no, I did not throw the camera against the wall or mistreat it in any way. It stopped working all by itself.]
